Hardening Foil

Protective foil for hardening tool steels. Wrapping the part in a tight envelope limits oxygen access at high temperature, so the surface stays cleaner after hardening, with less scale and decarburisation, and further machining is easier and faster.

It works best with stainless, tool and powder steels heated in hardening furnaces at high temperatures.

• Maximum working temperature: 1200°C
• Width: 610 mm
• Thickness: 0.05 mm
• Full roll: 7.5 m

Before hardening, wrap the part tightly in the foil to form a closed envelope and place it in the furnace. Run the process according to the requirements of the given steel.
